Over five essays written by European theoreticians and critics and through a series of interviews with artists as different as Joël Pommerat and Gianina Cărbunariu, Armin Petras/Fritz Kater and Rodrigo García, Bogdan Georgescu and Catinca Drăgănescu, the book investigates the contemporary reality of new theatre-making practices, beyond the all-powerful tradition of stage-directing.

Before this book, she edited the anthology New Performing Arts Practices in Eastern Europe (Cartier, 2014), both commissioned by the Sibiu International Theatre Festival.
