The artworks for this video exhibition (curated by Oana Tănase and Mihai Pop), were selected following a national call sustained by art universities from all over the country and they belong to young artists, graduates of universities from Iasi, Cluj and Bucharest, class 2009. Andreea Hajtajer, Miruna Toma, Octavian Fedorovich and Bogdan Gradinaru propose a careful (psycho)analysis of the relationships between the artist-viewer-work of art (White Cube), of self and time (White Time), man and his own existence (Empty Frame, Around 7 O’Clock), relationships (White Balance, Distance), and an exploration of human relationships and social context (Untitled), between public and private spaces and urban and rustic (I’m So Tired, Give Me Beauty, Give Me Death).
Visual expression of inner feelings and reflections of daily life, these films and video installations help us shape and define the young artistic medium and they will be included in an international portfolio in the festivals of the European network Temps d’Images 2009/2010.
