The ones who will visit the exhibition from UNAgaleria in Bucharest between 22-30 September, will have the surprise to find only fugitive connections with the performing arts, because – although sequence of the TEMPS D’IMAGES project, initiated inside it and developed simultaneously – the selection of the works leaves from different stakes: to offer the young video artists an international platform of communication and expression, to facilitate the interaction with a local public, maybe less familiarized with the art gallery network and, why not, even the professional insertion.

Received through the means of an open-call addressed to the students finishing the studies of the Arts Universities from Romania, carefully filtered by the art critic Oana Tănase and the director Thomas Ciulei, the video pieces presented at UNAgaleria don’t respond to a certain curatorial principle. The intention of the selecting crew was focusing on the freshness of some offsprings who promise interesting future developments, somehow spontaneously productions in whose structure the video camera is treated as an accelerator of the visual experience and also as a decantation vehicle of some private reflections of the young artists.
