Projection

Duration 90′

Calendar

Saturday 16/10/2010 → Sunday 17/10/2010 from 21:00 to 22:30

Projection showcases thirteen artists hailing from various cultural and geographical areas. This project explores self-representation by the means of the video medium. Via more or less explicit staging those emerging or well-known artists bring up the question of their relationship to creativity and the art world. Projection mirrors indeed artists’ inscription in a particular social and artistic microcosm and offers a multitude of points of view, often self-critical, on artist’s status in today’s world. Currently, this desire of self-definition is probably stronger in the new East-European art scenes that’s why the program focuses in particular on artists from Romania, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovakia or Serbia. Organized by a group of young curators, Projection is conceived in a light and portable format, the DVD to facilitate the itinerancy planned in several countries: France, Czech Republic, Germany, Bulgaria, Romania etc.
