We propose a meeting with the past but through the present. We focus and we want to learn more from 3 moments that marked Romania: the Revolution of 1989, the student riots of ’95 and the nowadays movements of Roşia Montană. First we will present the documentary Everyman: State of Fear (1989), then the shootings made by Csilla Könczei on the 22nd of December ’89 and then Vlad Petri will show his images of what is happening now in 2013. All of these are followed by debates.

Moderator: Mihai Goțiu, journalist, writer, involved in the organization of student strikes in ’95, carefully followed and widely reported the civic movements of the last few years.
