At the cross-roads between concert and installation, spoken and singed, video surveillance and ”voice off” theatre, Paradiscount is a concert-performance formed by a series of short texts who point the finger, in a playful way, at the countless systems of publicity campaigns (commercials in the gallery stores, web marketing, dedicated press…)
When we buy, we consume, every day, are we really at the origin of our choices/desires? How did our consuming spaces got to be multimedia entertainment parks representing the shopping frenzy and our relation with consuming nowadays?

Created at the Odeon Theater in Paris, the performance inspired by Patrick Bouvet texts cracks the too smooth appearance of merchandising. For that, Collectif MXM uses the same weapons, diverting them wisely.
