Temps d’Images 2013 Solidarity

Notebook
The two Choreographers Malgven Gerbes and David Brandstätter travelled together with the Video artist Julien Crépieux and the sound designer Christoph Engelke for two months through South Korea and Japan. In Notebook the four artists give insight in their travel notes, sharing their impressions and reflectionsl. They use movement, text, video, sound and a moving installation in a media crossing dialogue about their personal meeting with the Asian world.

About the artists
David Brandstätter studied applied musicology in Hamburg, he started his studies of choreography at the artEZ in Holland. Before his career in dance he worked as a professional juggler and unicyclist. Malgven Gerbes studied architecture in Paris in the EnSaaMa, and worked as architect, graduated in choreography in artEZ Holland. In collaboration with David Brandstätter she founded „shifts – art in movement“ in 2005.
Julien Crépieux is a visual artist, Paris. His work: videos, documentaries, films and installations have been presented at Palais de Tokyo, Le Plateau, Videó Club #1, La Vitrine, Galerie 220 jours. Christoph Engelke, works in the film and broadcast industry since 1989. He worked as sound assistant at RIAS Berlin radio station he studied sound engineering at the HFF Potsdam-Babelsberg.
