Temps d’Images 2011: Reflect!

Welcome to the 4th edition of Temps d’Images festival!

This year we offer you a selection of artistic projects connected to reality that remind you of us and the times we are living in. We all feel that we live in an era marked by important historical events and major changes, changes that do not give us time to remember ourselves, the community we live in.

This year’s selection of performances presents the image of our time in various forms. We selected the projects of artists who like the confrontation with the times they live in and find topics to explore in the immediate reality, providing a personal vision on their interests in this context of social and political transformations. In addition to the international performances program, we focus on independent Romanian productions made by young artists who bring into discussion, in performative forms, topics related to our recent history, current cultural phenomena from the outskirts of society, the influence of the virtual in our life, the memory of the real that passes through our bodies. And because we strongly believe in artists with attitude from Romania, we thought, together with Iulia Popovici, performing arts critic, to create an Independent Performing Arts Platform dedicated to them.

We invite you to discover the artists of Temps d’Images 2011 and let yourself be contaminated by their courage to speak their minds and be active in society. It seems the magic was hidden for a while. But we can reinvent it together!
